About Elizabeth "Lizzie" Elleson
Her early clinical work as a drug and alcohol clinician exposed her to the close links between addiction and unresolved early-childhood trauma, which shaped her continuing commitment to trauma-informed care. That curiosity led her to pursue further training in trauma-sensitive methods, including Mindfulness-integrated CBT, Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory, and to work with Australia’s National Centre of Excellence supporting people with complex trauma and disability.
In that role she worked alongside some of the most marginalised communities and supported many neurodivergent clients, developing particular expertise in the behavioural, emotional and psychological impacts of trauma. In private practice in Melbourne and Sydney she specialises in supporting highly sensitive people to recover from complex trauma and also provides coaching for those managing PMDD.
Elizabeth holds PACFA accreditation, which stands for the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Her practice is tailored to each person, and she aims to help clients find greater inner peace, stronger self‑connection and more harmonious relationships.

Attachment, Client-Centered and Mindfulness Approaches Online
Attachment-Based Therapy focuses on patterns of relating that begin in early relationships and continue to shape how people connect now. It helps clients explore attachment needs and build more secure ways of relating, often benefiting those who struggle with abandonment, trust or relationship difficulties.
Client-Centered Therapy places the client at the center of the process, offering empathic listening and nonjudgmental support so people can find their own solutions. This approach is well suited to improving self esteem, coping with life changes and strengthening emotional resilience.
Mindfulness Therapy teaches skills to bring gentle, present-moment awareness to thoughts, sensations and emotions. These practices can reduce the intensity of anxiety and support grounding for those affected by trauma, stress or chronic pain.
Choosing the right approach is part of the therapeutic journey. Elizabeth works collaboratively with clients to identify the methods that best fit their needs, goals and preferences, adjusting the work as progress unfolds.
Online therapy offers flexibility and accessibility through video calls, phone sessions, live chat and text-based messaging.
